I was listening to “Jumper” by 3rd Eye Blind and it reminded me of that scene in “Yes, Man” and I realized why I really love that movie. He starts doing everything he can in life, just on a whim, and it turns out to help so many people around him, and really turns his life around. He takes Korean and guitar lessons, and I believe they both come to play when he stops someone from killing himself (hence “Jumper”). It’s like, if you do what you really want in life, even without seeing the end to it, fate seems to take you along a path that you’ll love- and even if it doesn’t, you’ll always still have the lifestyle of doing things that make you happy.

Like Steve Jobs- He wasn’t really feeling college, so he dropped out and just took some classes here and there, including one in calligraphy. He later used that in designing things for Macs (or something; watch his Stanford address). There are certain things that you just have a gut feeling for, without knowing where they’ll bring you. You just gotta take those things, no matter how “irresponsible” or “crazy” they’ll seem. You can’t live life by society’s expectations. They’ll just keep you in the same place everyone else is. This is one mistake you won’t want to make in life, however much you feel like things will go crazy if you do something else. That’s the point- really live life, don’t live in chains. Take crazy chances, make mistakes, get dirty. Don’t let the so-called responsible side of you weigh you down and let you stop taking chances. Life isn’t calculated anyways, so you might as well add more equations to the mess.

Well, here is the first full day of Winter Break 2009. It’s almost 2010. I’ll be 20 pretty soon. So =) I decided it is time to start writing that book and all those songs. I uploaded my first video on youtube, just to get the hang of things. It’s of me singing “Honey, Honey” from Mamma Mia. No piano, yet.
